Intranet provides smooth access to relevant information

Before the launch of the new intranet, internal communication, and project documentation at INTEC were managed using Microsoft Teams, email, and simple server-based file storage. However, as the company began to grow, it became clear that it needed a more capable digital workplace with enhanced support for key processes and activities.

After scanning the market and evaluating possible solutions, INTEC chose to establish and launch a new intranet based on Microsoft 365 and Omnia. The solution was launched in November 2021, and the impact on the ways of working has been instant and very positive.

The new intranet has not only unified the company and strengthened internal communication, but it has also given the team better utilization of knowledge and enhanced quality in and monitoring of project processes. The intranet also supports traditional features like news, events, and organizational information, as well as the visualization of business processes, document management, structured team collaboration, and knowledge-sharing communities.

"The new intranet ensures that everyone has smooth access to relevant information and that our processes, projects, and documents are created and managed in a uniform and correct manner. It has also become easier for us to develop and share knowledge and skills," says Filip Eriksson, Intranet Manager and Group Leader at INTEC.

Support in meeting ISO requirements

The intranet has also helped INTEC meet its ISO requirements, as the platform has built-in process tools that enable the creation of a robust Quality Management System in a reliable and efficient manner.

Since the launch of the intranet, INTEC has seen a significant improvement in internal structures and ways of working. This has driven productivity and paved the way for future growth, aligning with the company's business plan to expand in the coming years.

The Omnia intranet has been critical in enabling INTEC to establish a culture where employees are willing and encouraged to share their knowledge and help colleagues solve daily work challenges. End-users can create, publish, share, and comment on knowledge articles, documents, and training videos. The intranet has become an autonomous knowledge and education platform, where employees can easily share knowledge and best practices.

"Even though we create a lot of content and training material, our employees also want to share knowledge and best practices. The solution has proven very successful when it comes to colleagues helping each other in a simple and efficient way, and at the same time, building a joint knowledge base. Omnia's smart search filters, subscription, and notification features also make it easy to stay up-to-date and distribute new knowledge. Since launch, we have seen how the development of knowledge has gained momentum and that employees invest time in developing their skills," explains Eriksson.

A valuable tool for future growth

The Omnia intranet has proven to be a valuable tool for INTEC, enabling the company to grow and expand its reach in the coming years. By providing a unified digital workplace that supports internal communication, process and document management, project management, and internal knowledge sharing, INTEC has strengthened its capabilities and established a culture of knowledge sharing that is essential for future success.

Since the launch of the intranet, INTEC has seen that improved internal structures and ways of working are driving productivity and paving the way for future growth. The company is confident that its investment in the new intranet based on Microsoft 365 and Omnia will support its business goals and enable them to continue to provide high-quality services to its clients. With a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration, INTEC is well-positioned to succeed in the competitive consulting industry and achieve its vision for growth.
