"EST moves the power over the electricity market's rules from the suppliers to the customers. With EST, electricity customers can manage the entire business process around purchasing and following up on electricity. The platform supports everything from planning, forecasting, and budgeting to procurement, analysis, and contract management. Companies and organizations can, among other things, ensure they purchase electricity at the market's best terms, that contracts are 100 percent fulfilled, and that they do not over-insure their facilities," says Magnus Kjellin, founder and CEO of Ensotech.
Niche Solution Sharpened in Close Collaboration
Ensotech (Energy Sourcing Technology Sweden AB) is a relatively young company that started its journey in 2016. The team behind the company has over 30 years of experience in creating innovative digital solutions for electricity purchasing and follow-up. Today, Ensotech offers its self-developed decision support system Energy Sourcing Tools, EST, and strategic consulting services for procurement, management, and analysis of electricity purchasing and consumption.
Ensotech hired Precio Fishbone in August 2025 to assist with the further development and management of EST. However, the collaboration with several of Precio Fishbone's developers and experts dates back even further.
"Our mission is to put electricity customers in the driver's seat and electricity suppliers in the back seat. In larger complex electricity deals, the customer has usually had to rely on the supplier's word that prices are correct and that contracts are followed. But with EST, customers gain access to actual data that ensures prices and delivery are correct at every moment," Magnus explains, continuing:
"With the system's millions of integrated and real-time-based data points, customers can set the right requirements for suppliers and make well-informed purchasing decisions, leading to large cost savings. With Precio Fishbone's help, we continue the development of our unique niche solution that has overturned the power balance in the electricity industry by creating full transparency and traceability."
Ensotech's customers include large electricity-intensive businesses such as municipalities, housing companies, engineering, and industrial firms like Scania. Magnus mentions that a company purchasing electricity for a couple of million a year can save up to half a million when all the facts are on the table.
Softadmin® Accelerates Development and Expansion
The large influx of customers and users to EST has led Ensotech to decide to transition the solution to the low-code-based development platform Softadmin®. According to Magnus, the update and migration mean that Ensotech gains a more flexible, scalable, and adaptable solution:
"With Softadmin®, we can scale up EST and create new features and customized customer solutions faster and more cost-effectively. The strength of Softadmin® is the platform's low-code and module-based concept. This makes it easy to test and supplement EST with new components without disturbing operational activities. The update allows us to accelerate development and create better customer experiences."
Magnus says that together with Precio Fishbone, they are currently working intensively on a major version update of EST for the fall. This will open the system to a broader target group of national and international companies and organizations with complex electricity procurement structures.
"The process of procuring electricity is the same for all businesses, but needs differ greatly between a smaller organization with few facilities and a larger multinational enterprise. With Softadmin®, we can take the next step in the development of EST and meet the needs of even the most complex organizational, facility, and cost structures," Magnus notes.
Local Cloud Solution Secures Data in Uncertain Times
Magnus believes the collaboration with Precio Fishbone works very well. In addition to the consultants' competence, creativity, and responsiveness, he also highlights the importance of the customer feeling seen and prioritized.
"At Precio Fishbone, we are always first in line. At least that’s the feeling we have. They are quick to respond, listen to us, and also take their own initiatives for improvements. I see only advantages in working with a smaller IT consultant like Precio Fishbone because we will never become just another customer in the crowd to them. This is one of the prerequisites for having a close and successful collaboration," Magnus emphasizes.
With a similar reasoning, Magnus considers Softadmin® and the company behind the platform to be the right choice for Ensotech:
"We also have a good and close collaboration with Multisoft which delivers Softadmin®. In addition to the platform's innovation, quality, performance, and scalability, it is also hosted on cloud servers in Sweden, which feels secure."
